Vaccination Advice

Live vaccines are contraindicated inpatients receiving immunosuppressive drug therapy including methotrexate and steroids.

Influenza and pneumococcal vaccination is recommended for patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy including steroids, methotrexate and biologic therapies. For more specific advice please refer to the BSR guidelines which will shortly be updated. We would be pleased to discuss specific issues directly by phone or email.
